About Brian Ricks
I returned to Newfoundland in 1993 after spending seven years
in
Canada learning photography. My schooling ranged from
The Toronto School of Art to The Ryerson Polytechnical Institute's
Stills Photography Program, plus endless hours of assisting
commercial photographers. Since then I've worked as a
freelance commercial photographer as well as a fine art
photographer selling Black and White images of Newfoundland
Worldwide.I now own and operate a studio/gallery/school/workshop in
Amherst Cove in rural Newfoundland.
The Fine Art Galleries
contain a collect of images that can be purchased directly form the
site. The photographs range from broad sweeping landscapes to
intimate portraits of the people and places I know.
In addition to this I
create images for commercial,editorial and industrial clients for
use in advertising and promotion. Please contact me for
